Meeting site
The DIVERSE 2007 conference will take place in the town of Lillehammer in Norway situated 180 km north of Oslo and 145 km from Oslo International Airport Gardermoen.
The conference will be held at Lillehammer University College from June 27th to June 29th, 2007. The campus is located 5 km north of Lillehammer town centre with easy access by buss or taxi for travellers arriving at Lillehammer.
Transport
For delegates arriving Norway at Oslo International Airport, the best way to travel is by train. The cost for the round trip is approx. NOK 600 and tickets may be purchased on the train using a credit card/charge card. Estimated time is nearly 2 hours.

Prices for one way tickets is NOK 227 from the airport to Lillehammer.
For those of you who fly Ryanair to Oslo Torp Airport (110 km southwest of Oslo), there are busses going to Oslo Buss Terminal. From there, it is a short walk to Oslo Central Station to catch a train to Lillehammer.

All prices are in NOK pr. person pr. night and includes breakfast. The hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee and the hotel costs are paid when checking out. For hotel registration, please use the same web-based form as for registration. If the hotel of choice is full you will be moved to a hotel in the same price range and will be notified about the change. Conference fee includes conference participation from 27th – 29th June 2007, lunches, coffee breaks, conference material, conference transportation in Lillehammer and welcome reception. After the registration deadline (June 1.) an additional NOK 400 will be added on the conference fee.
Student conference fee covers the same as the ordninary conference fee, but is limited to under- and graduate level students. Doctorate students will pay regular price. To obtain the student fee, please send the organisers a copy of your student ID card and documentation on what level you are studying.
Cancellation policy
A full refund less an administration fee of NOK 400 will be given to delegates whose written cancellation is received by 12th June. Cancellations after this date are non-refundable, unless a medical certificate is documented. A substitute delegate can be accepted at any time.
Late and early arrivals to Norway by air
Participants arriving late at Oslo International Airport Gardermoen, accommodation possibilities nearby can be found here by writing "Gardermoen" in the search field. Radisson SAS Oslo Airport Hotel is the closest hotel and it is only a matter of a few minutes walk from the hotel to the airport building. The airport is some 50 km from Oslo, so it is advisable to stay overnight near the airport rather than in Oslo or Lillehammer.
Currency and credit cards
Norway has its own currency - Norwegian Crowns (NOK). To see how much 1 NOK is in your currency, see this currency converter. You will be able to get this at the airport in Oslo or any other ATM that are to be found where people travel. All major credit cards are accepted, but Visa and Master Card are the two cards most widely accepted.

In June the weather in Lillehammer can be unpredictable. We can experience long warm days with temperatures in the upper twenties. However, we can also experience rain and temperatures around 15 degrees Celcius. The following links can keep you up-to-date with current conditions.

Lillehammer University College (LUC) is one of 26 state university colleges in Norway. The College has 3200 full-time students, 1000 of whom follow part-time programmes.
